Lakmé Fashion Week (LFW) is a jointly organized by Lakme, the No.1 cosmetics and beauty brand in India and IMG Fashion, global leader in the management and production of fashion weeks and designer fashion events. LFW has been conceived and created with a vision to “Redefine the future of fashion and Integrate India into the global fashion world”. LFW is organized twice annually. LFW Fall Winter 2009 will be held on 27th to 31st March’09 at Hotel Grand Hyatt, Mumbai. Over 60 designers will be showcasing their fall and winter collection.

The Lakme Fashion Week also sees a change in venue in it’s 10th year. Lakmé Fashion Week (LFW) hosted its sixth model auditions on 2nd February, 2009 for its forthcoming Fall-Winter 2009 season that will be held this March from 27th to 30th at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, moving from NCPA in South Mumbai in the suburbs perhaps an attempt to make the event much more accessible to the general public.
